Pain-Free Root Canal Treatment – Save Your Tooth Today

A root canal treatment is a dental procedure that removes infection from inside your tooth while preserving your natural tooth structure. Modern techniques ensure that the treatment is comfortable and effective, helping you maintain a healthy smile.
Ignoring tooth infection can lead to:
  • Severe and constant tooth pain
  • Swelling in gums or face
  • Tooth discoloration
  • Risk of losing the tooth
With root canal treatment, you can save your natural tooth and avoid more complex procedures like implants.
  • Sharp or throbbing tooth pain
  • Sensitivity to hot or cold foods
  • Swollen or tender gums
  • Tooth darkening or discoloration
If you notice any of these signs, it’s best to consult a dentist immediately.
  1. Initial Consultation & X-Ray: Your dentist evaluates the tooth and infection.
  2. Local Anesthesia: Ensures a pain-free procedure.
  3. Cleaning & Shaping: Removal of infected pulp and preparation of canals.
  4. Filling & Sealing: Canals are cleaned, shaped, and sealed to prevent reinfection.
Restoration: A crown or filling restores strength and function.
  • Saves your natural tooth
  • Relieves pain and discomfort
  • Prevents spread of infection
  • Maintains normal chewing function
  • Improves overall oral health
At iDentist, our experienced dentists use advanced tools and modern techniques for a pain-free root canal experience. We prioritize patient comfort and long-lasting results.

No. With modern dentistry techniques and local anesthesia, root canal treatment is virtually pain-free. Most patients feel relief after the procedure because the source of pain (infection) is removed.
A root canal typically takes 1 to 2 appointments, depending on the severity of infection and the tooth involved. Each session usually lasts between 30 to 60 minutes.
In most cases, yes. A crown is recommended to protect the treated tooth, restore strength, and prevent future damage, especially for molars and premolars that handle heavy chewing.

Brighten Your Smile: The Real Benefits of Professional Teeth Whitening

Brighten Your Smile: The Real Benefits of Professional Teeth Whitening

A bright, radiant smile is one of the first things people notice. Over time, teeth naturally become stained due to food, drinks, smoking, and aging. While home remedies and over-the-counter products claim to whiten teeth, none match the safety and effectiveness of professional teeth whitening.

Let’s explore how professional whitening works, why it’s more reliable, and why it remains one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments worldwide.

Teeth discoloration happens for several reasons:
  • Coffee, tea, and soft drinks leave deep stains
  • Smoking or tobacco causes yellowing
  • Age reduces enamel thickness, making teeth appear dull
  • Genetics may make some teeth more prone to staining
  • Poor oral hygiene builds plaque and tartar
  • Medications can also cause internal discoloration
Professional whitening targets these stains effectively and safely.

Dentists use advanced whitening gels that deeply penetrate the enamel to break down stain molecules. The procedure usually involves:

  1. Oral examination to ensure teeth and gums are healthy
  2. Cleaning to remove plaque
  3. Applying a safe, high-strength whitening gel
  4. Sometimes using LED or laser light to speed up results

The treatment is fast, comfortable, and produces immediate visible results.

Here’s how the implant process works:

 1. Faster Results

In just one session, you can achieve a brighter smile—something over-the-counter kits cannot provide.

 2. Safe & Monitored

Dentists ensure the whitening gel doesn’t damage your enamel or irritate your gums.

 3. Long-Lasting Brightness

Results last much longer when combined with proper oral care.

4. Removes Deep, Stubborn Stains

Professional whitening removes stains caused by years of coffee, tea, tobacco, and aging.

5. Boosts Confidence

A sparkling smile instantly improves your appearance and self-esteem.

You’re a great candidate if you have:
  • Yellow or dull teeth
  • Stains from food and beverages
  • Healthy gums and enamel
Whitening may not work for crowns, veneers, or fillings, but your dentist will guide you.
  •  Brush twice daily
  •  Rinse after drinking coffee or tea
  •  Avoid smoking
  •  Schedule regular dental cleanings
  •  Use a straw for dark beverages
  •  Follow dentist-recommended whitening touch-ups

At iDentist, we use safe, advanced whitening systems that deliver brighter, long-lasting results with zero damage to your teeth.

You get:

  • Instant whitening
  •  No sensitivity
  •  Modern technology
  •  Dentist-supervised care
  •  Natural, glowing smile

Conclusion

Professional teeth whitening remains one of the fastest and safest ways to enhance your smile. With just one visit, you can walk out feeling refreshed, confident, and brighter than ever. If you’re ready for a glowing smile, iDentist is here to make it happen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Professional whitening is completely safe when done under a dentist’s supervision. The whitening gels used are specially formulated to protect your enamel while effectively removing deep stains.

Results typically last 6 months to 2 years, depending on your oral habits. Avoiding tobacco, reducing tea/coffee intake, and maintaining good oral hygiene can help keep your smile brighter for longer.

Most people with healthy teeth and gums are suitable candidates. However, whitening does not work on crowns, veneers, or fillings. Your dentist will evaluate your teeth and recommend the best option for you.

Dental Implants – The Best Permanent Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental Implants

Dental Implants – The Best Permanent Solution for Missing Teeth

Missing teeth can affect your confidence, your smile, and even the way you chew food. Dental implants offer a long-lasting, natural-looking, and fully functional replacement for missing teeth. At iDentist, we specialize in advanced implant dentistry to restore the beauty and strength of your smile.

A dental implant is a titanium post placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. It acts as a strong foundation for attaching a natural-looking crown.

Implants are ideal for replacing:

  • A single missing tooth
  • Multiple missing teeth
  • Full arch tooth loss through implant-supported dentures

Unlike traditional dentures or bridges, implants offer several advantages:
Look and Feel Natural
They blend seamlessly with your teeth and function like real teeth.
Long-Lasting Solution
With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.
Preserve Jawbone Health
Implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing bone loss and facial sagging.
Improve Chewing & Speaking
You can enjoy your favourite foods without discomfort or slipping.

Here’s how the implant process works:

Your dentist examines your mouth and creates a personalized treatment plan.

A titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia.

Your jawbone naturally bonds with the implant to create a sturdy foundation.

A custom-made crown is attached for a natural and functional result.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Dental Implants?

You may be a perfect candidate if you have:

  • Good overall oral health
  • Enough jawbone density

No uncontrolled diabetes or gum disease

Even patients with low bone density can get implants using procedures like bone grafting.

At iDentist, we use advanced dental technology and high-quality implant materials to ensure:

  • Pain-free procedures
  • Strong and long-lasting implants
  • Perfectly natural results
  • Personalized and affordable treatment plans

Your comfort and safety are our priority.

Conclusion

Dental implants are the most reliable and permanent solution for missing teeth. With the right care, they can last a lifetime and restore your confidence, comfort, and smile.

Book your dental implant consultation at iDentist today and take the first step toward a beautiful smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental implant procedures are performed under local anesthesia, so you will not feel pain during the surgery. Mild discomfort after the procedure is normal and can be easily managed with prescribed medications.

With proper oral hygiene and regular dental checkups, dental implants can last 20+ years and often a lifetime, making them one of the most durable tooth replacement options.

People with uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease, heavy smoking habits, or inadequate jawbone may not be ideal candidates. However, many patients can still qualify with additional treatments like bone grafting.

Dental Crowns & Bridges – Restore Your Perfect Smile

Dental crowns and bridges are advanced dental restorations that restore damaged, decayed, or missing teeth. They help protect your natural teeth, improve chewing, and enhance your smile.

A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth to neighboring natural teeth or implants. Bridges help:
  • Restore your smile
  • Maintain facial structure
  • Improve chewing and speaking
  1. Consultation & Examination – Your dentist evaluates your teeth.
  2. Tooth Preparation – Damaged teeth are shaped to fit the crown or bridge.
  3. Impressions & Custom Fabrication – Accurate molds are taken to create natural-looking crowns/bridges.
Fitting & Adjustment – The crown or bridge is placed, adjusted, and cemented.
  • Protect weak or damaged teeth
  • Restore chewing and speaking abilities
  • Improve appearance and smile confidence
  • Long-lasting and durable with proper care

At iDentist, we use high-quality materials and modern techniques to provide comfortable and precise dental restorations. Our expert dentists ensure that every crown and bridge looks natural and fits perfectly.

No. With modern dental technology and local anesthesia, a root canal treatment is almost painless. Most patients feel relief from pain after the procedure rather than discomfort.

Dental Cleaning & Consultation

Dental Cleaning & Consultation

Preventive care is a foundation of dentistry. Indian Dental Association (IDA)recommends visiting your dentist regularly – usually about twice yearly – for full cleanings, examinations, and consultations for potential treatment. Professional dental cleanings help remove built-up plaque that is not removable using conventional brushing and flossing. Often, dentists are also capable of identifying potential problems that patients are not yet able to see or feel. When you maintain regular preventive dental appointments, you can stave off decay and gum disease, as well as identify the beginnings of oral health problems before they become severe.
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Even if you brush and floss after every meal and before bed, bacteria-harbouring plaque can accumulate in the tiniest crevices, grooves and pits. Overtime, the teeth will begin to decay in those areas, which may result in pain and partial or total tooth loss.

Your cleaning and consultation will consist of a visible examination of the teeth and gums. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while, you may also require x-rays for a more comprehensive view of your teeth. You’ll also consult with the doctor about any oral health problems you may have been having or questions that you may have. The cleaning will follow, during which special instruments will be used to remove hardened plaque from your teeth. Finally, your teeth will be polished.

In between dental cleanings and consultations, be sure to maintain good oral habits at home. This includes daily flossing and brushing after meals. It’s also important to drink fluoridated water and use a fluoridated toothpaste.

How to Brush Your Teeth https://identistindia.com/identistindia-com-how-to-brush-your-teeth/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=identistindia-com-how-to-brush-your-teeth https://identistindia.com/identistindia-com-how-to-brush-your-teeth/#comments Fri, 04 Aug 2023 07:45:51 +0000 https://shtheme.com/demosd/mivaan/?p=23

How to Brush Your Teeth

How to Brush Your Teeth

Brushing your teeth is probably a standard part of your daily routine, but chances are you aren’t following the guidelines for cleaning your teeth properly. The IDA currently recommends that you brush your teeth at minimum of two times each day – preferably morning and night or anytime you eat foods that contain sugar. When you brush, your toothbrush should be tilted at a 45-degree angle to your gum line. As you brush, be sure to remove debris from every surface of the teeth – including the backs of the teeth, near the gum line, and on chewing surfaces. It is also important to brush your tongue, as bacteria can accumulate there and cause malodorous breath.

Did you know…that the type of toothbrush you use makes a difference in your oral health? The IDA recommends using a soft-bristled toothbrush with a head that is ergonomically proportioned to the inside of your mouth. Many patients erroneously believe that medium or hard-bristle toothbrushes are more efficient; but these brushes can actually cause abrasions to the teeth and gums, making them more vulnerable to decay. The IDA also recommends replacing your toothbrush about four times yearly or whenever the bristles become frayed.
So, what is the most effective means of flossing?
  1. Pull the floss taut and slide it between two teeth.
  2. Pull against the side of one tooth, creating a “C-shape” and sliding upwards to remove plaque build-up.
  3. Pull against the opposite tooth edge using the same technique.
  4. Repeat this process for each tooth until all inner surfaces have been flossed.
  5. Don’t forget to floss the backs of your molars!
Need some extra tips? Use a strand of floss approximately 18 inches in length. It is important to only use clean floss as you move between the teeth. One of the easiest ways of doing this is by looping each end of the floss around your fingers and beginning to floss with the area closest to one end. If you have never flossed, be sure to ask your dentist for a quick in-person tutorial at your next check-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Everyone should floss in order to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Even if you have restorations, such as crowns or veneers, good oral hygiene is essential for prolonging their use and maintaining your oral health.
You may not experience immediate results from flossing, but over time, your habit will pay off. Flossing can prevent tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss – all of which can be highly inconvenient and expensive to treat.
Yes. In addition to flossing, you should be adopting proper brushing techniques and visiting your dentist at least twice per year for examinations and professional dental cleanings.

Dental Health and Your Diet

Dental Health and Your Diet

Your body works hard to convert the foods you eat into energy. You may not think twice about what you are eating – especially when it comes to grabbing an afternoon snack or sipping on a tea/coffee on your commute. But the food you put in your mouth affects more than just your waistline. The truth is, your diet has a direct effect on your overall dental health. Developing good eating habits can lead to excellent oral health free of decay and gum disease. The IDA recommends avoiding certain foods that can expedite decay, such as foods high in sugar.

Did you know…that eating a slice of pie in the afternoon could be more dangerous to your oral health than eating the same piece of pie as a dessert after dinner? According to the IDA, snacking between meals – especially on sugar-filled foods – can more rapidly lead to decay than eating the same foods with meals. If you must eat the mid-afternoon pie, reach for the toothbrush afterward. Better yet, swap the pie for a nutritious, sugar-free snack like string cheese or some carrots.

Learn which dental treatments may help if diet has already affected your teeth—visit our page on crowns and bridges.

Frequently Asked Questions
Probably. But never start a new diet without first consulting with your physician. If you are on a special diet, be sure to speak with your dentist about the types of foods you should be eating that comply with your diet and can also optimize your oral health.
In addition to avoiding sugary foods, drink plenty of water each day and avoid snacks between meals whenever possible. It is also important to consume nutritious foods from each of the major food groups, including whole grains, vegetables, lean proteins, low-fat dairy, and fruits. Not only will you improve the health of your teeth and gums, but you may drop a pant size too!
Yes. You should be flossing daily and brushing twice daily using a soft-bristled toothbrush. You should also be visiting your dentist at least twice per year for oral exams and professional dental cleanings.

Bad Breath

Bad Breath

Having bad breath can be an embarrassing problem – especially if you are regularly face to face with other people. Known professionally as halitosis, bad breath plagues many people every day. Most cases of bad breath can be remedied by efficiently brushing the teeth. However, some types of bad breath are chronic or recurring, which may warrant a visit to the dentist.

Did you know that bad breath can be caused by something as simple as eating too much garlic, or that it could be a serious symptom of disease? Some of the most common causes of bad breath include dry mouth, certain medications, use of tobacco, poor dental hygiene, and oral infections. In rare cases, bad breath may be a sign of diseases like cancer or gastroesophageal reflux.

“For daily care, follow these simple teeth cleaning tips to keep your breath fresh and bacteria-free.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Your visit will begin with an examination and questions about your daily habits, such as the types of foods you eat and the medications you take. Your dentist may then inspect your mouth for signs of decay, infections or gum disease that could be causing your bad breath. If your chronic bad breath cannot be traced to an oral problem or daily habit, you may be referred to a physician for further evaluation.
Yes. If bad breath is a source of embarrassment for you, try to keep breath fresheners on-hand at all times. Sleep with your mouth closed, as this prevents dry mouth and helps tame morning breath. Eliminate odour-causing foods from your diet, such as garlic and onions, and make an effort to brush your teeth and tongue every morning and night. Finally, be sure to visit your dentist for professional cleanings at least twice per year to remove built-up plaque that can cause chronic halitosis.
